The Information Technology Page for the webmaster (FSO-CS) December 2010 In the past, the flotilla's website was accessible thru one of two different portals. By clicking an obscure link in the "hosted pages" where a portion of the website was housed on the District server, or by clicking directly on coastguardauxiliaryslidellD8cr.us to go to all the other content on the "main" site. The district site has been recently redesigned so that it is much more functional, and easier to integrate with the main site, which I have done. The interface is no longer so obscure or hard to find. I've thought about keeping the old domain name, coastguardauxiliaryslidellD8cr.us , for awhile longer just for the convenience of it. It's costing me $156 a year for that convenience, however. I know the flotilla could cover the cost instead, but I'm not sure if it's worth it, or that the flotilla would see it as worth it. I plan to "let go" of the domain name at the end of the year, but I'm open to any comments on the matter....
